Regan Booty feels he is settling in well at Meadow Lane following his move last week.

The midfielder has started both games since his arrival and registered an assist in each of them, setting Kristian Dennis up for his second of the season on Sunday.

And Booty was pleased to play his part in a strong Magpies display against Wrexham as the new-look side continues to gel.

“As a team, it was a really good performance and we deserved to win the game,” said the 21-year-old.

“Everyone’s gutted that we only took one point but you can see we are getting better – we improved even from Tuesday night at Harrogate.

“I’ve settled really well because it’s a good group of lads and, due to the new additions, a lot of us are in the same position so we are growing closer every day.

“Denno did all the work for me with the assist – it was a great header from him at the back post to put it in the net.”

Booty says he enjoyed the experience of making his Meadow Lane debut and feels Notts can be in the mix for promotion if they continue to play as they did on Sunday.

“It was a really good atmosphere,” he added. “It was a good crowd at a big stadium and hopefully we keep the fans coming back after what they saw, because we were really good but just didn’t secure the three points.

“We’re getting better as a team and, other than not winning, it wasn’t far off a perfect performance. If we play like that 99% of the time, we’ll be up there at the end of the season.

“Next weekend is massive for us. We’ve got games Saturday and Monday, which give us a great chance to put points on the board.

“It’d be nice to turn two unbeaten into four and hopefully we get two wins next weekend.”
