The Magpies are delighted to announce summer summer signing number 14 after Stanley Aborah agreed terms on Friday.
The midfielder who has been training with the club for the past fortnight and has also featured heavily in the three pre-season victories, showing fantastic control, strength in the tackle and eye for a through ball.
Aborah will bring plenty of experience to the squad having played in a number of European leagues.
He began his career for Ajax Amsterdam in 2004, having come through their Academy as their captain.
The Belgian played four times in a two-year spell including an appearance in the Champions League against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in 2004. He also gained more experience at Den Bosch, scoring three times in 21 games.
He later joined them permanently after a spell with Belgian side FCV Dender EH, playing 36 times and scoring three more times in two seasons.
The 5’7 man also had spells in Slovakia with AS Trenčín and played once for Gillingham in League Two.
More recently he has also played in Hungary for Ferencváros where he helped them win the Hungarian League Cup.
