Youngsters Diego Edwards and Kieran Cooney have been called up to the St Kitts-Nevis senior side.
The 19-year-old duo will travel to Italy next month ahead of two friendlies against San Marino, the nation’s final fixtures before their World Cup qualification campaign begins in June with matches against Costa Rica and the Bahamas.
Our academy manager, Dan Leivers, said: “We’re delighted that Diego and Kieran have both been given this fantastic opportunity.
“While this is Kieran’s first call-up, it’s the second time for Diego which shows he has made a good impression.
“Kieran has been playing in both wing back positions for us and, after shrugging off a couple of injuries, has performed really well. He’s very aggressive and physical and can be a real threat in the final third.
“Diego is a forward with great finishing ability and physical attributes. With him already having a cap to his name, next on his list will be his first international goal.
“We’ll be doing everything we can to support Diego and Kieran in advance of the trip and while they’re away to ensure everything goes well.”
