Bassingfield Woodyard's month begins

Timber merchant set for front-of-shirt exposure

6 March 2018

Bassingfield Woodyard owner Paul Allison says his company’s sponsorship of Notts County presents a unique opportunity to engage with the club’s supporters.

The timber merchant’s logo will be on the front of Notts’ shirts throughout March following the conclusion of the Senator Group’s month in the limelight.

And Paul is excited to make the most of the partnership.

“As a football fan, it’s a dream to see my company name on the front of my local team’s shirt,” he said. “It gives us a good chance to engage with the supporters.

“We’re able to cater for anyone and everyone, whether they’re trade or public DIY-ers.

“A lot of our current customer base are season ticket holders and hopefully when they’re thinking of doing renovations, they’ll think of us.

“The best thing for us is word of mouth – the more people know about us, the more it helps us grow.”

Supporters can find the woodyard just off the A52, near Gamston, with ample parking onsite.

And Paul and his staff are on hand to help visitors with whatever they need.

“Pop down, send a list via email, bring a photo – we’ll try and help whichever way we can,” said Paul.

“Anything – firewood, construction timber, a tiny bit of trim to go around a window. Even if we haven’t got it, we can soon get it.”
