Notts County manager John Sheridan accepts today's performance against Newport was 'far, far from good enough.'
Notts were beaten 3-0 by the Exiles at Meadow Lane and Sheridan pulled no punches in his assessment of the display.
He said: "I’m not going to make excuses. I accept it’s far, far from good enough. Whatever’s thrown at me or my players, we have to accept it’s just not good enough at all.
"We were missing one or two players but that's not an excuse. It gives an opportunity for one or two to perform and hopefully give me a problem by giving a good performance, getting a good result and staying in the team.
"I'll stand up for myself and take all the criticism - I deserve a bit because we're not winning games."
