Jack Barmby has returned to parent club Leicester City after his loan spell ended.
The 20 year-old made six appearances during his time at Meadow Lane after signing from the Premier League high-fliers in September.
Head of Recruitment Guy Branston said: "We would like to thank Leicester City - especially Jon Rudkin - for allowing us to take a player as talented as Jack on loan.
"During his time here, he showed great application and attitude to play when called upon. This will hold Jack in good stead when he goes to other clubs and finds himself in different situations with other managers.
"We would like to thank Jack personally for his contribution during his time at Meadow Lane. He is a top talent and a top lad.
"We wish Jack all the best for the future."
