The Notts County players got into the darts spirit last week, when one of the club’s key sponsors, Betway, staged the latest leg of their Premier League Darts competition at the Capital FM Arena here in Nottingham.
Darts fans were treated to a feast of top action in what was the sixth leg of this year’s Betway Premier League Darts competition, with World Number 1 Michael Van Gerwen beating Phil “The Power” Taylor 7-3 to maintain his place at the top of the table.
Elsewhere on the night, World Champion Gary Anderson beat Adrian Lewis 7-1, Peter “Snakebite” Wright saw off Kim Huybrechts 7-5, James Wade defeated Raymond Van Barneveld 7-3 and Stephen Bunting came out 7-3 on top against Dave Chisnall, who was unbeaten in this year’s competition going into Thursday night’s event.
Staff and members of the first team squad were in attendance on the evening as guests of Betway, who sponsor the Jimmy Sirrel Stand here at Meadow Lane, with everyone having a fantastic evening and coming away having thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
In the build-up to the event, Roy Carroll, Fabian Spiess and Curtis Thompson showed their darts skills at the club’s Eagle Valley training ground, taking it in turns to see what they could do on the Betway dartboard.
