Former Players' Fans' Forum in aid of Jimmy & Jack Statue Fund forced to be postponed...
The Former Players' Association regrets to have to announce that the Fans' Forum planned for this Friday evening (March 6) at Meadow Lane has had to be postponed for reasons that could not have been anticipated.
The event will be rearranged for a new date, yet to be determined, and good notice will be given to give supporters a chance of attending.
To some considerable extent the date will depend on the availability of former Notts player Dean Thomas, who will have a starring role.
As was planned for Friday he will take part in a Forum along with other former Notts players. But Dean, who has recently taken up a new career as a ballad singer, will also entertain with songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others.
All the proceeds will, as originally planned, go to the Jimmy and Jack Statue Fund Appeal, which now tops £80,000 and is in sight of the finishing line.
The next event in connection with the Appeal is a concert by Bestwood Male Voice Choir and Beeston Round Hill School Boys' Choir at Christ Church, Chilwell, on Saturday evening March 14 for which a sell-out is already virtually assured.
