Forward Graham Burke is confident the Magpies can bounceback straight away…
The Irishman signed a two-year deal on Wednesday and is excited for the challenge ahead.
Burke is no strange to Notts fans, having played for the club the last three months on loan from Aston Villa, now he’s hoping he can use that experience to help the club gain promotion at the first attempt.
He told Magpie Player: “I’m delighted to be here permanently.
“Guy Branston contacted my agent when I was released from Villa and he said he would like me at the club.
“I got the deal done and I’m now focusing on what’s ahead. It was quite an easy decision to make in the end.
“The target this year is promotion and bounce back.
“Looking back to Gillingham, it was an instant high to get that goal, but then to go 3-1 down and we went from such a high to a big down in 20-minutes. It was an emotional day.
“It makes me more determined, being involved in that day, to help Notts get back up into League One.
“The club is confident, especially with the signings. I will be working hard and play well in the friendlies and make sure I’m selected.
“I’m feeling fit, maybe others have a couple of weeks fitness ahead of me, but I will be there on Saturday and hopefully I will be involved.”
