New defender Mawouna Amevor is confident Manager Ricardo Moniz can make him a better player…
The big Togolese centre-back arrived in Nottingham on Friday and signed a two-year deal ahead of the new campaign.
He had his first training session last weekend and is looking forward to the challenge ahead in League Two.
He told Magpie Player: “I’m very excited. This summer I’m a free player and the Coach Ricardo (Moniz) calls me and tells me he wants me in his team. England is a nice football country and I’m very happy when I heard. I’m here now.
“It’s my first time I play in another country, but I’m looking forward to it. It wasn’t a difficult choice.
“Ricardo sees a lot of potential in me and he wants to work with me and make me better. And make me a good central defender.
“He rang me last week and it’s been quick. I had other interests, but this is the right move for me.
“I like to play football the right way, I’m fast, a good header and that’s me. I hope I can show the fans and I hope they love me.”
