Halsall: Hartlepool Frustrations Only Makes Us More Determined

19 September 2014

The Youth Team will face Hartlepool United this weekend…

The Youth Team were left frustrated last weekend as their game was called off at late notice due to unforeseen circumstances, but they will look to turn that negative energy into a first win on Saturday.

The squad travelled to United for a 11.30am kick-off and Head of Academy Coaching Mick Halsall is hoping for his first win.

He told the Official Site: “It was frustrating as we are all just looking to get that first win and give everyone a bit of a lift and momentum, which is vital.

“As I’ve said before this season, the lads haven’t done bad,  it’s just a few little things that they to tidy up on, in all areas of the pitch.

“Every game there is something to look forward to. We’re not going into games lacking confidence, there is plenty of belief and we all believe that once we get our first win we will go on from strength to strength.

“To have a game called off for one reason or the other, is just another week without a game, but we are all working hard to get the lads prepared.

“We don’t have many games coming up, as we are out the cup, but the players will be busy with other aspects of their development and kept busy.”

The Youth Team are still missing Kieran Blaney, Kenan Leyton and Jake Payling due to injury.
