Free Entry This Sunday For Our Service Men And Women

3 November 2014

The club will allow all former and currently serving armed forces free entry on Remembrance Sunday…

The Magpies take on Accrington Stanley this Sunday in the FA Cup first round and the club has ensured that all military personnel will be allowed to watch the game free of charge.

The club also plan to have a minute's silence ahead of kick-off.

Commercial Director Damian Irvine told the Official Site: "With the co-operation of Accrington Stanley and the FA, we are extremely proud to be able to offer free entry to Meadow Lane this Sunday to all former and currently service men and women.

"All those in uniform or displaying their medals on such an important day in the calendar will be welcome to come to our cup fixture and we encourage everyone to walk down after the numerous memorial services in the local area.

"I hope all of our supporters and extended family can come down and display our thanks and appreciation for all the sacrifices our servicemen and women have made over the years.”

Fans can also donate to the Royal British Legion in the club shop and main reception through the Poppy Appeal.
