The latest Throwback Thursday looks at an interesting photo from a battle between Notts County and Wolverhampton Wanderers almost 20 years ago.
On 10 December 1994, Notts travelled to Molineux for a Division One encounter with Wanderers..
The hosts’ line-up included an aptly named Dutchman in John De Wolf, who was instantly recognisable by his long, golden locks.
In this photo, Notts striker Gary Lund is seen winning an aerial battle with the former Feyenoord centre-back.
County lost the fixture 1-0 in a disappointing 1994.95 campaign that ended in relegation, but we still can't help but wish that a few more outrageous hairstyles still populated today's game.
The club would like to thank Bowles Associates and the Nottingham Post for supporting the NCFC History archives.
Look out for more classic photographs every Thursday.
