McMillan: Witness The Future Of NCFC

5 November 2013

Head of Academy coaching Andy McMillan hopes that supporters will take up the opportunity to see the club’s future talent in action this evening.

Notts County youth team will take on their Peterborough United counterparts in the FA Youth Cup – a 7pm kick-off at Meadow Lane.

Tickets are available for just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, giving the Magpies’ faithful a great opportunity to watch the club’s promising young talent in Academy football’s most prestigious domestic competition.

“The more that turn up to watch us play the merrier, because it’s a great opportunity to see the boys play and see the future of this football club,” said McMillan.

“They’ve read and seen what I’ve had to say about the games but now they can see it for themselves at Meadow Lane.”

He continued: “It’s a big tournament and if they get through this round then the big boys start joining in and you never know who you can get.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the boys to play at Meadow Lane and I know they’re all excited to be getting changed in the home dressing room and get treated like pros.

“It’s how it should be, they’re a good bunch of kids, they want to do well.

“We’re hoping that the performances we’ve been putting in and a good result combine, as Peterborough are a good side as well.”
