Notts County youth team made it back-to-back wins at the weekend with a 4-0 thumping of York City youth team.
Lartey Sapong, Brad McGowan and a brace from in-form frontman Colby Bishop gave Notts a convincing victory, which followed on from a 3-1 triumph over high-flying Hull City.
Head of Academy coaching Andy McMillan feels that the team is brimming with confidence after a series of impressive performances that are finally reaping the rewards.
“It was another very, very good performance to be fair and the lads have done very well,” he told the official site.
“The confidence is high and you can see that in training, they’re doing the right things and having watched back some of the clips and some of the play is excellent.
“The goals are coming now, whereas before we couldn’t get the goals but Colby has made a huge difference by getting in the box and getting on the end of crosses.
“At the start of the season the balls were going in but nobody was getting on the end of it, but now we’ve got someone to put the ball in the back of the net.
“The lads are looking forward to every game now but unfortunately we haven’t got one for a couple of weeks.”
