Take Your Opportunity, Says Kiwomya

16 August 2013

First team manager Chris Kiwomya is expected to make a number of changes to his squad for Saturday’s game and he has told his players to take the opportunity.

The Magpies travel to the Banks’s Stadium for a tough encounter with Walsall, who have won their opening three matches in all competitions.

Following defeats to two of the division’s favourites, Sheffield United and Peterborough United, Notts are determined to put some points on the board against the Saddlers.

Key players such as Gary Liddle (suspension) and David Bell (knock) are nearing a return and Kiwomya has challenged the side that starts on Saturday to keep them out of the starting 11.

He said: “With all the players, I’m saying ‘go out there and make it difficult for me – put a show on’.

“Enoch Showunmi has done that for me, he didn’t start in the Sheffield United game and he came on and scored and he then scored against Fleetwood.

“Anyone that does that will stay in the side – and that goes out to the young lads as well.

“Step up to the plate and once you get your opportunity, take it.”
