Lifeline's Donation To Joy's Fund

4 April 2013

Notts County Lifeline has donated £250 to the British Heart Foundation in memory of loyal member Joy Sharpe.

Joy, who was a long-time supporter of Lifeline and the club as a whole, sadly passed away last month.

Donations have been made by plenty of Magpies' fans on the Remembering Joy Sharpe Just Giving Page and currently the total currently stands at £155.

The Supporters' Club and the Former Players' Association have also pledged £50, meaning that the amount will be boosted by £350, when combined with the Lifeline contribution.

"Joy's involvement with Lifeline will never be forgotten and nor will she," said club ambassador Les Bradd, who is heavily involved with the scheme.

"Having worked closely with Joy at Hillside Medical, I can say without doubt that she cared deeply about Notts County Football Club and she showed it with her support year in, year out.

"This donation is about giving something back to Joy, whose support of Lifeline went a long way."

Friends of Joy are invited to attend her funeral at 2pm on Friday 5 April 2013.

The service will be held at Wilford Hill Crematorium, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7FE.

The wake will take place at Meadow Lane.
