UrbanEdge show their support for youth team...

Thanks to UrbanEdge Architecture, Notts County youth team have been performing in matching boots this season.

A donation by the Lincolnshire-based company has seen the young Magpies provided with two pairs of Umbro Speciali boots each.

Since the reformation of the Academy, the players have been required to wear black boots but the UrbanEdge support takes this uniform approach one step further.

Director at UrbanEdge Tom McNamara, who is a long time supporter of the Magpies, is proud to be supporting the Meadow Lane youth set-up, which he has seen develop some incredible talent over the years.

He said: “The youth team are the future of this football club and that is why we wanted to show our support in this way by supplying the players with boots.

“When I first moved to the area and started following the Magpies in 1991 a lot of the team was made up of former youth players, such as Tommy Johnson and Mark Draper.

“Mick [Leonard] and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get the Academy to where it is today from when it was reopened a few years ago.

“We hope that we will see a return to those days where we are regularly seeing players coming through the ranks.

“With a number of the lads appearing in the squads, we’re sure that we’re not far away from that.

“We hope that our contribution to the youth team will help the lads to fulfill their potential.”
