No Time Wasted On Away Days

7 December 2012

A trip to Yeovil may be a long old poke but not a minute of it will be wasted, as the Magpies prepare to extend the club record unbeaten run to 21 matches.

The team will make the four-hour journey south on Friday morning, ahead of the Saturday encounter with Gary Johnson's side.

Curle and his staff will use the additional time together on the coach and in the hotel to their advantage in preparation of a tough npower League 1 clash at Huish Park.

He told the press: “It’s a difficult place to go to but the planning and the preparation will be there.

“We’re travelling early on the Friday morning, we’re training when we’re down there, which is something that we always do.

“We’re staying in a good hotel, the meal times and everything like that have been sorted out by (nutritionist) Matty Lawson so the nutrition’s right.

“We’ll have a couple of meetings while we’re down there, one on the Friday night and one on the Saturday morning.

“We’ve got video analysis that goes on so we use the time while we’re away to our benefit.

“It’s not just going on a weekend away, we’re down there and we’re working.”
