Three Match Ban Confirmed

20 August 2012

Striker will not be available until after the Bury match following red card...

It has been confirmed by the Football Association that Yoann Arquin will miss Notts County's next three matches following his dismissal in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Crewe Alexandra.

Arquin was involved in an off the ball incident and was shown a straight red card, just two minutes after putting the Magpies 2-0 up.

First team manager Keith Curle was disappointed with the striker’s actions that will cause him to sit out the clashes with Hartlepool, Walsall and Bury.

Curle told Magpie Player: “I’m disappointed in the lack of discipline shown by Yoann.

“Yoann’s got the potential to be a very good player and oppositions will try to identify good players and try to rattle them, upset them and knock them out of their stride to take their focus away from football.

“That’s something that Yoann has to learn very quickly and that behaviour, whether it’s a flick out with your foot or your arm, it’s not tolerated.

“The way to hurt people is to put the ball in the back of the net if you’re a striker and as a defender you prevent somebody from annoying you from having opportunities to play and score goals against you.

“We don’t want confrontations on the pitch, we’re not about that.”

He added: “It’s frustrating and disappointing, but we’ll regroup and he’ll learn from it.”
