Mullins: Perfect Momentum For Molineux

11 February 2014

Midfielder Hayden Mullins feels that the weekend’s 3-0 win over Coventry City has given Notts County the confidence they need ahead of a difficult trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Notts ended a run of three games without victory following the best team performance of the campaign in front of the second largest Meadow Lane crowd of 2013.14.

Goals from Mullins, Jimmy Spencer and Alan Sheehan secured a vital three points, which lifted the Magpies out of the Sky Bet League 1 relegation zone.

Mullins was pleased to get off the mark on his full County debut and is now looking forward to the trip to Molineux at the weekend.

“It was fantastic as I don’t get many especially playing a bit deeper in the middle,” he said.

“It was a great ball from Jamal [Campbell-Ryce] and I just managed to get on the end of it, which was pleasing for me.”

He continued: “All the lads were terrific and hopefully we can take this form on and get some more wins.

“We needed the boost for everyone around the club, as we know we’re in a scrap.

“If we keep producing like that we know we won’t be far away at the end of the season.

“Wolves is one that we’re all looking forward to now that we’ve got this win.

“We can take the positives from the way we played at the weekend and hopefully take it to Molineux, where we’ll have no fear and we’ll hopefully get another good result.”
