Haworth Out To Take His Chance

4 July 2013

Summer arrival Andy Haworth is looking to repay the faith shown in him by his new boss.

First team manager Chris Kiwomya gave the pacy wideman an opportunity to impress with a six-month contract at Meadow Lane.

The former Rochdale and Bury midfielder is not willing to pass up the chance to shine in a Magpies’ jersey during the first half of 2013.14.

“I’d like to thank Chris for believing in me and I’m here to do my best and show everyone what I can do,” he told Magpie Player.

“I want to enjoy my football and help the team win games and that’s the main aim for me.

“Six months is enough time to prove what I can do and I’m confident that I can give a good account of myself so I’m looking forward to it.

“The key is consistency but the main thing is to help the team win games.”

He added: “The manager has got a great enthusiasm for the game and loves football, he plays the game in the right way and that reflects on the players.

“The players are enthusiastic as well and want to play for him.

“It’s a great club with great facilities and it’s a great opportunity for me now and I want to show the fans and the manager what I can do on a good stage.”

Haworth is set to feature in Notts’ second pre-season friendly this evening against Palloseura Kemi Kings. Look out for post-match coverage exclusively on Magpie Player.
