Notts County defender Louis Laing was pleased to score but even happier to secure an Emirates FA Cup replay against Peterborough United yesterday.
The defender struck deep into second-half stoppage time to complete the Magpies' comeback from a two-goal deficit.
And, while he was pleased to get on the scoresheet, ensuring his side's inclusion in tonight's third-round draw gave Laing the greatest satisfaction.
He said: "It's always nice to score but it's better to get the replay. We've got another chance to get to the next round.
"It took a deflection but you take them however they come. I'm really pleased with it."
Laing admitted there was a hint of disappointment that Notts didn't secure victory, although he acknowledged the importance of a positive performance given the team's recent run.
He said: "After being 2-0 down it was a good result. I felt we could even have gone on and won the game - we had quite a few chances in the second half.
"The last month has been pretty tough on everyone but that's football - sometimes you go through these stages.
"There are still a lot of things we need to work on but, especially against a League One team, it was nice to get into the hat for the next round."
