Hollis proud of milestone

21 September 2016

Notts County's Haydn Hollis has spoken of his pride at reaching 100 games for his hometown club.

The defender reached the milestone by playing in Saturday’s 3-2 victory at Cheltenham Town.

And he told Magpie Player HD that his achievement is a dream come true.

Hollis said: "If you’d have said to me when I was in the academy as a kid that I’d make 100 appearances for Notts County I’d have bitten your hand off.

"I wouldn’t have believed it, but I’ve got there and it’s a really great achievement. It’s a great football club, it’s my home town and I’m proud of it.

“But I also want to achieve much more. I love being a professional footballer and if I could have a long career in the EFL I’d be happy.

"I always give everything I’ve got day in, day out, and I think over time managers can see that in me.”
