Notts County Sign Scot Bennett

27 May 2015

Notts County are delighted to secure the services of Scot Bennett...

The Exeter City captain and youth team product has put pen to paper on a 2 year deal with Notts County ahead of the 2015/16 Football League season.

Since making his debut in 2011, Bennett has gone on to make 141 appearances for The Grecians, scoring 18 goals.

A versatile player, Bennett started his career as a defender, but has also established himself as a central midfielder, as well as an attacker for Exeter City and Notts will be looking to use his versatility to their advantage throughout the season.

After signing, Scot outlined his ambitions for the season. “This is the right club to be at, they’re a massive club and hopefully we can get the promotion they want and climb again. I’ve always wanted to get to the top and if this club can push on and do what I think they’ve got the potential to do, that will be a massive thing for me.”

Chief Executive Aileen Trew added "Scot is a highly sought after player within the football league and, with youth on his side, he will only improve under Ricardo’s coaching. This will help prepare the foundations for what we are trying to achieve at Notts County FC for this season and beyond”

This is Notts County’s third signing in the close season, having already secured the services of Roy Carroll and Alan Smith for another season.
