Former Notts and Walsall keeper Steve Cherry will be at the game on Saturday..
The special guest on Saturday will be Steve Cherry who in a long and distinguished career counts both Notts and Walsall among his former clubs.
He is best remembered by Notts fans for his appearances in the two successive Wembley play-off finals which took the club from the third tier to the top flight of the English game.
Cherry kept a clean sheet in the first of those epic finals, in 1990, when Notts beat Tranmere Rovers 2-0.
Though Brighton put one past him, in the 1991 decider, Notts came out on top by 3-1.
Cherry's best-ever performance for Notts, and probably of his entire career, was against Manchester City in a fifth round FA Cup tie, also in 1991.
A series of outstanding saves prevented City from scoring a tie won for Notts by Gary Lund's late strike.
He will be recalling these and other memories before Saturday's kick-off. in conversation with Colin Slater in the Wheeler's Suite.
