Welcome from Stephen Rooth

Our aim here is simple - to develop players and ensure they reach their maximum potential so that they have the best chance of representing the club in senior football and play in the FA Women’s Super League at some point in their career.

Notts County Women’s FC have a reputation of developing young players and giving them a chance. You only have to look at the first team squad and see the likes of Beth Mullxhi and Jessie Knott, both of whom came through the development team to make a huge impact.

It's also important to mention that four England internationals, Alex Greenwood, Ellen White, Carly Telford and Laura Bassett, have graced the historic black and white shirt over the years.

I’m pleased to report that it’s been a tremendously encouraging year for the club having established a strong financial model and continued to dominate on the field.

Our unbeaten first team, along with our Under 11s, 13s, 14s 15s and 16s, were top of the table before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19, while our junior section has never been stronger with our Under 11s winning back-to-back promotions and under 13s  promoted in the winter league. Our Under 9s,10s, and 12s continue their journey towards developing our stars of the future.

I’d like to thank all our coaches, players and committee members Ian Smith, Sara Marshall, Anni Rahtu and Adam Dunleavy for their hard work and dedication.

We have recently entered into a very exciting two-year deal with Basford United FC to use the excellent facilities at Greenwich Avenue for our training and matches, whilst also looking at the importance of sports nutrition and working closely with Powerbar Europe.
