Now in his fifth season at Meadow Lane, heart-on-the-sleeve defender Rawlinson will be hoping to mark his return to the EFL with another solid season in our backline.

After terminating his Port Vale contract a year early to join us ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, Rawlinson went on to win our Fans' Player of the Season award in his debut campaign. He also shared the Players' Player award with Kyle Wootton.

The imposing and deceptively quick defender began his career at Chester and also enjoyed an eight-year spell in Welsh football with the New Saints (TNS), picking up European experience by playing in Champions League qualifying matches.

He has developed his game superbly to suit the style of play adopted by Luke Williams and his predecessor Ian Burchnall and, after signing a new contract this summer, will be looking to kick on again in 2023-24.
