Notts County would like to thank sponsors On-Call Recruitment for sending volunteers down to Meadow Lane on Friday in a bid to clear the pitch of snow and get Saturday’s npower League 1 match against Sheffield United on.
Several representatives from On-Call joined members of the Youth Team coaching staff and players, along with other office staff and the Meadow Lane groundstaff to clear the snow that had fallen over the past week from the frost covers in preparation for the game going ahead on Saturday.
The playing surface passed an initial inspection at midday on Friday and the club are due to review the situation at 9:30am on Saturday, but without doubt the work that everyone put in throughout Friday will have been invaluable if the game does get the green light as hoped.
