Harry's parting message

Arter grateful to club and supporters

4 May 2022

Harry Arter has issued a message of thanks to the club and supporters following the expiration of his loan spell at Meadow Lane.

The midfielder joined us on a short-term deal in March, helping us to six victories in his nine appearances, and had this to say on his departure: “I would like to say a massive thank you to the board and Ian Burchnall for giving me the opportunity to make my return to competitive football.

“Following initial discussions with Ian I knew I was coming into an environment I’d enjoy, but if I’m honest the club has exceeded my expectations.

“The style of play, facilities and quality within the squad make this a great place to work and I’ve got every confidence the boys will secure their place in the play-offs and kick on from there.

“I would also like to thank the fans for the way they’ve welcomed me. I’ll be following the end of the season closely in the hope everyone connected with the club gets what they deserve.”

Burchnall added: “Harry’s arrival gave us a big lift during a tough run of results. I think everyone could see the calmness and professionalism he brought to us in his debut at Dagenham and he has certainly played a big part in getting us into the healthy position we find ourselves in.

“We’re very grateful to him for his efforts, and to Nottingham Forest for facilitating the move, and wish him all the best for the future.”
