International action for four

Mitchell, Roberts, Palmer and Jaros represent their countries

31 March 2022

Four Notts players took to the field for their countries during the latest round of international fixtures.

Kairo Mitchell, Cal Roberts and Matt Palmer all made senior appearances, while Vitezslav Jaros continued his involvement with Czech Republic’s Under 21s.

Mitchell took his tally of Grenada caps to 14 by coming off the bench in their 0-0 draw with Gibraltar before playing 90 minutes in their narrow defeat to Andorra.

Roberts was one of England C’s stand-out performers in a disappointing 4-0 defeat against Wales C at Caernarfon Town, with Palmer coming off the bench midway through the second half.

Jaros, meanwhile, kept a clean sheet in Czech Under 21s’ 3-0 win over their Andorran counterparts having been an unused substitute in their victory over Albania.

All players will return to the club this week ahead of Saturday’s Vanarama National League trip to Southend.
