Sunderland have recalled Anthony Patterson from his loan due to Covid cases at the Stadium of Light – but the goalkeeper will return to Meadow Lane next week.
The Black Cats have recorded a number of positive cases in their first-team squad, meaning Patterson is required for their Sky Bet League One matches against Wycombe Wanderers (Saturday) and Lincoln City (Tuesday).
Patterson will then return to Meadow Lane to resume his loan spell until the end of the season.
