Our unbeaten start to the season came to an end on a frustrating afternoon in Greater Manchester.
Despite dominating the vast majority of the game, we struggled to convert our possession into clear-cut chances and were left ruing a close-range first-half finish from Marcus Dinanga.
With all our recognised centre backs, along with keeper Sam Slocombe, out injured, loanees Anthony Patterson and Ciaran Brennan both impressed.
But we were unable to fully assert ourselves in an attacking sense and, after Ruben Rodrigues missed an excellent chance to score from an Aaron Nemane cut-back, the referee called time on a disappointing afternoon.
