Light Source have strengthened their partnership with the club by becoming our academy’s shirt sponsors for the 2021-22 campaign.
Based in Nottingham, Light Source are leading telecommunications specialists offering a design and build service to connect homes and businesses with ultra-fast fibre broadband and associated services. The company has been established over 20 years and is proud of its Nottingham roots.
And, having entered into a two-year partnership which sees the Light Source logo appear on our first-team's home and away kits, they are proud to provide further support to the club and its stars of the future.
Steve Hill, Light Source’s Managing Director, said: “It gives us great pleasure to increase our backing of the world’s oldest professional football club, especially at a time when the academy is facing unprecedented challenges following the withdrawal of EFL funding.
“As a local business we understand how much the academy means to the club, fans and community and we’re very proud to see our logo on the front of the lads’ shirts this season.”
Our Commercial Operations Manager, Jordan Worthington, added: “Once again Light Source have shown themselves to be not only a tremendously successful business, but one which also cares about – and wants to give back to – its local community.
“This new strand of our partnership will be a big help to the club’s continued efforts to produce exciting talent and provide a pathway for young, local players to experience all the benefits football has to offer.”
Academy Manager Dave Plant is also delighted with the deal, commenting: “Not only does this news come as a significant boost to our fundraising efforts, but being aligned to such a brilliant local company also adds an extra layer of professionalism to our academy set-up.
“We can’t thank Light Source enough for their support.”
