Head coach Ian Burchnall is hopeful of welcoming one of his recently-injured central defenders back into the fold for this weekend’s visit of Woking.
The boss has been without Connell Rawlinson for a number of weeks and both Kyle Cameron and Alex Lacey joined the Welshman in missing last Saturday’s trip to Altrincham.
Our misfortune prompted a loan move for Ciaran Brennan, who made an impressive debut alongside Richard Brindley and Adam Chicksen in a back three at Moss Lane.
And Burchnall is now pleased to report better news from his defensive department.
“We’re very hopeful of having one of the three back for Woking,” said the boss after Friday’s training session.
“All the injured lads have been working really hard on their rehab and are champing at the bit to return.
“Saturday will come too soon for two of them, but they’re making strong progress and aren’t far away now.”
