Ruben Rodrigues' free-kick on the stroke of half-time cancelled out Alistair Smith's opener to earn us a point at Altrincham.
The Portuguese curled the ball home with virtually the last kick of the half after Smith had fired a low drive into the bottom corner from range.
Ian Burchnall made a double change at half-time, sending on Adam Chicksen and Lewis Knight, and we produced a stronger second period without being able to find a winner.
The game started quickly with both sides exchanging chances within the opening two minutes, Connor Kirby and Jordan Barnett both firing efforts off-target.
But, shortly after an Altrincham man had sent an audacious effort just wide of Luke Steele's post, our keeper was beaten when Smith picked out his bottom corner on 24 minutes.
We huffed and puffed but failed to create any clear openings until the stroke of half-time, when Richard Brindley won a free-kick in a dangerous position which Rodrigues curled home with aplomb.
Barnett and Ben Turner made way at half-time as Burchnall made a tactical adjustment and we started the second period strongly, Rodrigues forcing the keeper into a save from a free-kick shortly before Boldewijn was unfortunate to see the ball bobble up just before he was about to let fly from 20 yards.
Just before the hour, Tony Thompson made an excellent save to turn Kyle Wootton's low, deflected effort wide of the post and, 10 minutes later, the keeper did well again as he rushed out to smother Boldewijn's shot after Rodrigues had threaded a delicious ball through for the Dutchman.
But it was the keeper at the other end who proved to be the busier towards the end of the match as Steele made a couple of important saves to keep the scores level.
And the hosts could have nicked it at the end when Senior arrived late in the box before sending his first-time effort just wide.
