Second-half goals from Damien McCrory and Kyle Bennett earned us a 2-0 win at Coalville Town in our first friendly ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
McCrory, who has been training with the club in the early part of pre-season, tapped home a close-range effort after trialist Bennett had hit the post.
Not to be denied, Bennett made it 2-0 with a lovely curling effort into the top corner to put the victory beyond doubt.
Ian Burchnall fielded two separate XIs with youngsters Archie Aves, Brad McGregor, Sam Geeves and Cam Smith given opportunities to impress alongside trialists Bennett, Lamine Kaba Sherif, William Hondermarck and Andre Wright.
