Two join on loan

Forward and winger bolster ranks

Target man Inih Effiong and wide player Calvin Miller have joined us on loan until the end of the season.

Manager Neal Ardley last week revealed his intention to add depth to his squad and he'll be providing his thoughts on the new recruits later today.

Standing at 6ft 4in, Effiong will ease the burden on fellow centre-forward Kyle Wootton as we head towards a hectic period of fixtures.

The 29-year-old joins us on loan from Stevenage, who signed him this summer after seeing him bag 16 goals in 36 National League appearances for Dover in 2019-20.

Effiong, who scored once in a five-game loan spell with Barnet earlier this season, is an experienced National League campaigner having also represented the likes of Woking and Barrow.

He’s played north of the border, too, with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

Capable of playing on either wing while also providing cover at full back, the attack-minded, pacey 23-year-old’s dreams came true in 2016 when he made his debut for boyhood club Celtic in a Scottish Premier League victory over Partick Thistle.

Miller went on to make four further senior appearances for the Bhoys before furthering his experience with loan spells at Dundee and Ayr United.

The Glaswegian's Celtic journey ended last summer, when Harrogate snapped him up on a free transfer, and he joins us having scored a winner against Mansfield in one of his 13 appearances for the Yorkshiremen.

Effiong is cup-tied for Saturday's Buildbase FA Trophy trip to Stockport but Miller will be eligible to play.
