This weekend’s Vanarama National League trip to Wrexham has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Frost sheets were deployed at the Racecourse Ground on Monday and it was hoped they would offer sufficient protection to allow the game to go ahead.
But bitterly cold conditions have caused the surface to freeze and, with another very cold 24 hours forecast, a pitch inspection this afternoon has resulted in the match being postponed.
A new date will be set in due course and our attentions now turn to next Tuesday’s trip to King’s Lynn Town.
