New arrival Tylor Golden believes our playing style will suit him ‘down to the ground’.
The 21-year-old former Wigan right back has joined us on loan from Salford City until 23 March and he believes he’ll be able to adapt quickly to life at Meadow Lane.
“The manager has explained that he wants his full backs to be attacking, which suits me down to the ground,” said Golden. “I was really intrigued by what he had to say and I think I can do well here.
“Wigan and Salford are both attacking teams who use the full backs a lot. They look to dominate possession, which allows me to get higher. I’ve been lucky to have been taught and trained in that way, so that philosophy suits me.
“I also have defensive qualities which I take pride in. Even though, as a modern day full back, you have to help the team going forward, your main job is to defend. I make sure I win my one-v-one battles and don’t let the winger get the best of me.
“Once we get the ball I’ll be bombing on and helping us create goals and chances.”
