Our board of directors have released a statement following the National League’s announcement that our season will continue.
We are very pleased that the league’s consultation of member clubs in relation to the outcomes of the 2020-21 campaign will result in step one of the National League continuing. This, we feel, is a conclusion which protects the competition’s integrity and rewards the efforts of all clubs who have imparted great effort into the season so far. We’re also delighted for our loyal supporters who have backed us so staunchly from afar.
It is noted that the National League have now asked the Football Association to ratify the outcome of this vote and that dialogue is set to take place between the league and FA regarding promotion. We look forward to hearing more in due course.
For now, however, we would like to congratulate Neal Ardley and the team on their excellent recent form and wish them well for Saturday’s exciting derby against Chesterfield.
