Goals from Ruben Rodrigues and Kyle Wootton secured our place in round four of the Buildbase FA Trophy despite a competitive clash with Altrincham at Meadow Lane.
The Portuguese gave us a 14th-minute lead with a calm penalty after Matt Palmer had been scythed down inside the area.
We surrendered our advantage seven minutes later when Tom Hannigan capitalised on a spilled save from Sam Slocombe by turning the ball home from close range.
But we were back in front before the break thanks to a lovely move set off by Rodrigues with an excellent pass to release Richardson who, for the second time in as many games, supplied Wootton for the finish.
Both sides had chances to add to the scoreline after the break but no further goals were to follow as we progressed to the next stage.
STARTING XI: Slocombe; Cameron, Rawlinson (Lacey 65'), Brindley; Parsons, Richardson; Palmer, Rodrigues, Vincent (Roberts 80'); Mitchell, Wootton (Francis 45')
