Two loyal Lifeline members have won season tickets for the 2021-22 campaign!
Iris Smith and Trevor Scanlon were drawn out as winners of the sought-after prize and came down to Meadow Lane to commemorate their victory with a celebratory photograph with the membership's coordinator Lynn Lawson.
“I’ve been a member for about 15 years,” said Iris. “In my second year I won £1,000 – and now this! I was delighted to hear the news.
“To put a bit of money in every month and to win something like this every now and again is really nice.
“It’s great to see Lifeline in such a strong position. We’ve had a rough ride over the last few years and Lifeline’s always been there.
“I would actively encourage everyone who’s not a member to join the waiting list – it’s so easy to do and is a great way of supporting the club.”
Trevor added: “I’ve been a fan for 62 years and joined Lifeline more or less when it started – which is a long, long while ago! The club was in dire straits at the time and I just wanted to help in any way I could.
“I was amazed – astounded – when I found out I’d won a season ticket. I think we’ll be right up there fighting for promotion.”
