Another set-piece goal proved costly as Eastleigh ran out 1-0 winners at Meadow Lane.
At the end of a first half dominated by us in terms of possession and chances, the ball fell for Ben House to score at the near post following a corner.
Both sides had good opportunities to score the next goal, with Regan Griffiths, Kyle Wootton and Jimmy Knowles all having efforts at goal.
They all proved futile, however, and despite imparting heavy pressure on the visitors towards the end of the match, we had Sam Slocombe to thank for an excellent save, as well as a big miss from Cavaghn Miley, to keep the score at 1-0.
STARTING XI: Slocombe; Lacey, Turner (O'Brien 72'), Rawlinson; Chicksen, Reeves, Griffiths Miller 72'), Kelly-Evans; Knowles, Wootton, Knight (Boldewijn 57')
UNUSED SUBS: Ellis, Doyle
