Kyle Wootton was on target once again as he and Wes Thomas fired us to victory over Alfreton Town in our second pre-season friendly.
After a cagey first half Thomas opened the scoring with a poacher's finish from Enzio Boldewijn's cross.
The visitors hit back quickly when a mix-up between Sam Slocombe and Connell Rawlinson presented Rio Molyneux with an easy equaliser.
But when Jim O'Brien was felled in the penalty area Wootton produced the perfect penalty to put us back ahead and 2-1 was how it stayed as we recorded back-to-back pre-season wins following last week's success at Ilkeston.
