Walker: Notts a no-brainer

Loanee keen to get stuck in

30 November 2020

Tom Walker says the lure of regular game-time, Neal Ardley’s keenness to work with him and the stature of the club made his loan move to Meadow Lane a ‘no-brainer’.

Despite having made 12 appearances for Harrogate Town this season, the winger is hungry for more and can’t wait to get going with us.

“I was really keen to come,” said Walker. “It’s a massive club with a great history and at the minute I need regular game-time.

“I need to be playing regularly to get the best out of myself, so as soon as I found I could get a run of games here it was a no-brainer.

“I know the gaffer’s liked me as a player for a couple of years and now I’ve got the opportunity to work with him. It may only for a short time, but I’m looking forward to getting stuck right into it.

“I’m a positive, direct winger/attacking midfielder. I like to get at defenders, get crosses in and get shots off. I’m known for getting goals and assists and I’m hoping I can do that here.

“I think Notts will do well in the National League this year and hopefully I’ll score some goals and help the club push up the table.”
