Nathan Tyson has joined Chesterfield on loan until the end of the season.
The forward arrived at Meadow Lane this summer following a successful trial but has had a frustrating campaign, with injuries and the form of his fellow strikers restricting his playing time.
And we have today allowed him to join fellow Magpies Matt Tootle and Ross Fitzsimons on loan at the Proact Stadium.
Our manager Neal Ardley said: “Nathan leaves with our very best wishes having been a consummate professional throughout his time with us.
“Although it’s been a difficult season for him, his attitude in training and application in matches has been outstanding.
“He deserves the opportunity to go and play regularly again and we weren’t going to stand in his way.”
The terms of the loan agreement mean Tyson can’t be recalled. However, like Fitzsimons and Tootle, he will be ineligible for the Spireites’ visit to Meadow Lane on 1 February.
