Enzio Boldewijn believes we can achieve great things after securing an important three points with victory over Chesterfield on Saturday.
The Dutchman opened the scoring in our 3-0 win with a fantastic 20-yard strike to take his tally for the season to eight.
And he says he’s loving life at Meadow Lane this season.
“It’s always good to score goals and be important,” smiled Boldewijn.
“I like to play games and playing for this team, and the gaffer has trust in me to play every week.
“Everyone played well today and the win is very important because teams around us dropped points, so it’s been a very good day.
“We were all on it and everyone is on the same page so I think we can achieve great things.”
The winger was named Man of the Match following his decisive strike live on BT Sport and he was delighted with his effort.
“With the importance of the game, being at home and in front of the tv cameras, this is my favourite goal,” said Boldewijn.
“it’s great to be Man of the Match but everyone did their bit today and I like to give credit to the team.
“Everyone knew I would shoot from that position and if you don’t shoot you don’t score.
“We were the better side in the first half but were just missing a goal. We talked about it at half-time and as soon as mine went in it all happened and we wanted to score two or three.
“The manager said push on and keep doing what you’re doing. Get shots on goal, test them and go for it.”
As one of few surviving members from last season’s squad, Boldewijn outlined how much it would mean for us to get promoted at the first time of asking.
“Going back up would be everything for everyone at the club,” he said.
“We’re a big family and everyone felt it last year so it would be perfect to go straight back up.
“We have a good team, the manager believes in me, and the supporters like me so I’m liking my time here.
“I really appreciate everyone chanting my name."
