There is currently no pitch inspection planned ahead of tomorrow’s Buildbase FA Trophy quarter-final against Aveley.
Like much of the UK, Nottingham was hit by heavy rain this afternoon and more is forecast between now and kick-off.
However the playing surface, pictured above at 4.30pm on Friday, has so far stood up to the conditions thanks to the proactive work of our groundstaff.
We have been in regular contact with Aveley, the FA competitions department and the match referee throughout the day and all parties are currently happy to proceed without scheduling an official inspection.
Our groundstaff will, however, be on site from 5am on Saturday to assess the surface and to carry out any necessary work on the pitch prior to the referee’s arrival at 9am.
Should the situation change we will make an announcement at the earliest opportunity.
