On behalf of everyone at Notts County Football Club, we would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
This is a festive season like no other and, while many of you will be spending today with loved ones, some of our supporters will sadly be left isolated as a result of Covid-19 restrictions. Our thoughts are with those people and we encourage everyone in the Notts County family to reach out to a fellow fan who may be feeling lonely today.
Thankfully we have an exciting run of fixtures to look forward to, including a double-header against King’s Lynn and an intriguing contest against a Hartlepool United side who we believe will emerge as strong competitors as the season progresses.
While we wish we could welcome you along to Meadow Lane to watch us in action, we hope our live streaming service will continue to provide an enjoyable alternative. We are averaging more than 2,000 match pass sales per game and we’d like to thank everyone who has supported this service and stuck by the club throughout this challenging time.
Despite the obvious difficulties, the club remains in a secure financial position and our ambitions of challenging for promotion back to the EFL are as clear as ever. Neal and his team have made a strong start to the campaign and we very much look forward to seeing what 2021 holds in store.
In a normal year we would hold a fans’ forum, giving you the opportunity to come to Meadow Lane and ask us questions about the running of the club. As this isn’t possible at the minute, we’re inviting you to send your queries via email and we’ll work with the media team to communicate our responses. If there’s anything you’d like to know, please email email@example.com and we’ll do our best to answer.
We are closely monitoring government updates in the hope that we will be able to welcome some of you back to Meadow Lane in the near future. Clearly this is a pivotal time in our collective fight against the virus and it looks like we may have to remain patient for a little longer. We have, however, put considered plans in place and will be ready to reopen our doors as soon as we’re permitted.
In the meantime we hope you have a safe and enjoyable Christmas – with some victories to celebrate, of course!
Chris and Alex
